Product name: Accelerator TMTD Chemical name: Tetramethylthiuram disulfide Formula:C6H12N2S4 M.W: 240.41 Property: Odorless, irritating to respiratory tract and skin. Soluble in chlorlfom acetone, methylene chloride, benzene; not easily soluble in carbon tetrachloride, ethyl acetate; insoluble in water and gasoline. Use: Vulcanization accelerator for natuaral rubber, synthetic rubber and latex, also acts as curing agent as it may decompose to produce free sulfur on heating to above 100. It is widely used as a primary accelerator for curing systems requiring very low or no sulfur, and often used to activate thiazole or sulfenamide curing systems. Applications include tyre, rubber shoes, medical products, cable, etc. Melting point: ≥140℃ Heating loss: ≤0.5% Ash: ≤0.2% Residue on sieve (100 mesh): ≤0.1%
